988 MENTAL HEALTH HOTLINE NOW LIVE

988is now active across the United States. This new, shorter phone number will make it easier for people to remember and access mental health crisis services. If you are struggling with thoughts of suicide or experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis, call or text 988 to be connected to trained crisis counselors who will listen to your concerns, provide support, and get you additional help if needed.


Psychiatric Emergency Screening Service (P.E.S.S.) at Monmouth Medical Center Monmouth Medical Center is a state-designed emergency screening service for Monmouth County. Crisis intervention, stabilization, mobile outreach, crisis hotline and family crisis services are provided. Services can be accessed through the Emergency Department or by calling our crisis hotline at 732-923-6999

  • 9-8-8 is the new nationwide phone number for national suicide prevention and a behavioral health and veterans’ crisis hotline system.  
  •  Florida residents who use 9-8-8 for assistance with suicide prevention and behavioral health emergencies will be directed by telecommunications companies to Florida’s 12 National Suicide Prevention Lifelines (NSPL).

Florida 2-1-1

Florida Health is a government-sponsored organization that offers Florida 2-1-1. Simply dial the number on your phone to access free and confidential mental health support. The program is national, but Florida Health has partnered along to make it so you can connect with local resources.
